This is a general template provided for convenience. Have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel before relying on it for your business.
Simplo ("Simplo," "we," "us") provides online booking, digital waiver, and customer-marketing software (the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two kinds of people: venue operators who subscribe to Simplo, and the end customers who book or sign waivers through a venue using Simplo.
For end-customer data (bookings, waivers, contact details), the venue is the data controller and Simplo is a data processor acting on the venue's instructions. For venue-operator account data, Simplo is the controller. If you are an end customer with a request about your data, contact the venue you booked with; we will assist them.
Account data (operators): name, email, business name, and login credentials.
Booking & customer data (processed for venues): customer name, email, phone, party size, booking selections, and any custom fields the venue configures.
Waiver data: signer details, the signature image, date of birth/guardian info where applicable, a tamper-evident document hash, IP address, and user-agent — captured to make each signature legally defensible.
Marketing consent: whether a customer affirmatively opted in to marketing, with a timestamped record.
Payment data: processed directly by the venue's chosen processor (Stripe, Square, or Shopify). Simplo does not store full card numbers.
Usage & technical data: standard logs and minimal cookies needed to run the Service.
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help run Simplo, including:
Venue operators own their customer and waiver data and may export it (including waiver PDFs) at any time. We retain data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, or as required by law.
We use encryption in transit, per-tenant data isolation, and encrypted storage of sensitive credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise rights as a venue operator, contact us below; as an end customer, contact the venue, and we will support them.
We use only the minimal cookies necessary to operate the site and keep you signed in.
The Service is for businesses. Where a minor participates in an activity, a parent or guardian provides and signs the waiver on the minor's behalf through the venue.
We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above.
