- Digital waiver
- An online liability release a participant reads and signs from their phone or a venue tablet, replacing paper clipboards. Simplo attaches the waiver to the booking so no one slips through unsigned.
- E-signature
- An electronic signature captured on a touchscreen or trackpad. Simplo records the drawn signature image plus metadata that makes it legally defensible.
- ESIGN / UETA
- U.S. laws (the ESIGN Act and Uniform Electronic Transactions Act) that make electronic signatures legally equivalent to ink. Simplo waivers are built to be ESIGN/UETA-compatible.
- Audit trail
- An append-only record of who signed what, when, and from where — IP address, user agent, timestamp, and document version. It's the evidence an insurer or court wants if an incident occurs.
- Tamper-evident hash chain
- Each signed waiver is cryptographically hashed and chained to the previous record, so any later edit is detectable. This is what separates a real audit trail from a stored PDF.
- Waiver template
- A reusable waiver document with your liability language plus custom fields. Versioned, so you always know which wording a customer actually agreed to.
- Custom fields
- Operator-defined questions added to a booking or waiver — emergency contact, allergies, photo release, skill level. You design the form without a developer.
- Minor / guardian waiver
- A waiver flow that captures a parent or guardian's signature and relationship when the participant is under 18, with the minor flag stored on the record.
- Kiosk / quick-sign
- A tablet mode at the front desk where walk-ins sign in ~30 seconds — optionally scanning a driver's license barcode to auto-fill their details.
